The water that flows from the North Sea through Moss on its way to Norway's capital is known as the Oslo, Fjord. Moss is about midway.
Here in Moss, the "havn" (harbor) is a wonderful place to visit on a sunny September day. This past weekend I enjoyed a stroll along the harbor past the motorhome park, the marina, and dock-side areas where locals gathered to fish and soak up the sun!
I watched several locals pull in a couple mackrell "eaters" of about 12-16 inches, and one fellow outpaced the others about 3 fish to 1. He told me he had "fisk flaks" and that is why he was successful.
I Also came across a couple of my students who had been fishing, and they reported success catching a couple torsk (cod).
Guess I'll have to ask to tag along next time!
